Prime sparrow bills, Is 10£ d; good to best feed, Is 9id to Is lOJd ; medium to good, 1«. 8d to Is 9d ; long Tartars at 2s 2d per bushel (tacks extra.). Wheat. — All offered met with $>ood c/iaiveliUon, and late values were well mainUuiuil Good volvet sold at 3s 61 to 33 7d ; 'Juscan, 33 5d to 3s 6d ; fowl feed, 2s lOd to 3s lid per bushel (sacks ia). , Barley. — Market dull. A few feed lots Bold at 2s to 2s 2d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.— B*t Dements, £2 12s 6d to £2 15s ; medium to good, £2 5$ to £2 10s per tun (sacks in). Chaff. — Prime cb«ff met a fair sale, but medium and light were difficult to place. B'-bt oaten sheaf, £2 12s 6d to £2 15s ; medium to good, £2 5s to £2 lOd per ton (bags extra). Turnips.— Best Swedes (loose), 12s to 133 6d per ton.
The Mutual Agency Company of New Zeaxand (Limited) repoit that pi ices ruled as under At their weekly auction sale yeßterday :— Oats.— Catalogues we re fairly heavy to-day, but competition -was again good, and pi ices improved fully |d on laßt week's values. Clean heavy bright samples, fit for seed, fetchrd higher prices. Long Tartars being especially in request. We had nothing very prime on our catalogue, but sold everything at very full rates. Sutheilwids (me-uuni), Is 10|d ; kparrowbills (good), Is 9Jd to Is lOd (extra are worth up to Is lOJd); medium feed. Is 8d to Is 9d. Wheat —Market continues firm, and all offering tnee' a ready sale at late quotations. Our best today sold at— For velvet, 3a 6£d to 3a 6JI ; red sort*, 33 2d to 3s 4d ; fowls' wheat, 2s lljd to 3s IJd ; prime velvet is worth up to 3a Bd, and Tuscan to 3s 64 Potatoes.— No alteration on last week's prices. Be>t aie worth £2 12s 6d to £2 155, good £2 10s. Chaff is also in fair demand, and prices keep firm. Best, £2 12s 6i to £2 15s ; good, £2 10s ; Btr<iw chaff, £2 155. The Farmers' Agency Company (Limited) report that prices ruled as follows at tha grain acd produce sal*s held yesterday :— Oats in very kten demand, prices showing a further advance of id per bushel on last week's quotation*. Best oats brought from Is 9Jd to Is lOJii ; medium, Is 9d to Is 9Jd ; inferior, la 7d per bushel. Wheat.— Prime velvet sold at 3s 7d to 3s 8d ; Tuscan and other sorts, from 3s 4d to 3s 6d per bushel. Potatoes— Prime Dorwents, £2 12s 6d to £2 164 ; medium, £2 5s to £2 10s ptr ton. draff.— Best oaten sold from £2 12s 6d to £2 15s; medium, £2 10s; inferior, £2 to. £2 7s 6d per ton.
