Cocks brought 2s 8d to 3s Id ; hens, 2s to 2s 7d ; ducks, 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; geese, 6s 9d— all at per pair. Turkeys were quite unsaleable, and although plenty of good birds were forward there was no offer for them. Oats, 14d to 15|d ; fowl wheat, 2s 8d to 2s 6d. No really prime Derwents to hand. We Bold inferior at 50s to 555. We have a few inquiries for prime. Kidneys, no demand, 50s. Onions, £6 10s ; we have a few tons to arrive. Salt butter, 7d to 8d ; inferior, no demand ; fresh butter, lOd to Ib. Kggs have again fallen; we have not sold under Is, but they are offered at lid. Cheese, 3d to 4d. Bacon : fid to 6Jdhams and sides ; seconds, ( 3jrtto4d. Fruit: Oranges are again rather scarce; we have, however, plenty for our country customers, and can supply oranges, lemons, mandarins, pines and dates ; also apples, both Hobart and local, at lowest quotations.
