WESTPORT RACES.
A Westport telegram gives the following as the result of the Westport Autumn races:— Open Handicap— Oliver Cromwell, 1; Young Perkins, 2 ; Steelbone, 3. Autumn Handicap— Rewi, 1; Regret, 2; Steelbone, 3. Ladies' Purse— Captain Abram, 1 ; Baldie, 2. District Handioap— Young Perkins, 1 ; Regret, 2 ; Captain Abram, 3. Hurdles— Baldie, 1 ; Prince, 2 ; Dangerous, 3. There was a good attendance and fine weather. A fair business was done on the totalisator.
A Westporb telegram gives the following as the result of the second day's racing there :— Hurdles: Baldie, 1 ; Haka,2; Fairy, 3. Dividend, £13 16s. Westport Cup: Rewi. Town Plate: Regret. Miners' Handicap: Abram. Consolation: Tarantalus. In tho Hack Race three horses fell, and tho jockey Evans was injured.
