The following are the results of the second day of the Egmont races : —
Steeplechask, of 80so vs.— Allegro (lOst), 1 ; Waitangl (lust), 2. Waitanjjl fell, bub the jockey was not seriously hurt. Dividend, £2 11s. Waimatk Handicap, oflooßovs.— Dudu (7sb), 1; Clogs (88b 61b), 2. Won by half a length. Dividend, £1 16s.
Normandy Stakes, of 40sovb.— Armorer (7st 51b), 1 ; Tongariro (Bst slb), 2 ; Himu (7st 31b), 3. Won by a head. Time, 2min Msec. Dividend, £9 7s.
Forced Handicap.— Rimu, 1 ; Hagar, 2. Time, 2miu 45? sec. Dividend, £1 10s, f lying Handicap of BOsovb.— -Tongariro, 1 ; Balista, 2 ; Escapade, 3. Time, lmin 18 4-s»ec. Dividend, £3 11s. This race was run twice owing to a protest that Tongariro was in front of the post when tho flag fell, which the stewards upheld, and the race was' declared void. The result was the Bamo on both occasions.
