The attendance at the Marlborough Racing Club's second day was good and the weather favourable. Results :— HURDLE HANDICAP, Of 40sovs. Two and a-quarter miles. The Ladies' Plate Handicap, of 20sovs, one mile and a distance, fell through, as only Mr H. Redwood's Sweetie and Mr Prior's Kauri were nominated, and an objection was raised to the rider of Sweetie that he was a professional jockey. Mr Redwood therefore scratched Sweetie, leaving Kauri to walk over.
