(Continued fompage 26.) COMBINED AUSTRALIA v. LILLYWHITE'S ELEVEN. Sydney, February 3. The match between a combined Australian team and Lillywhifce's team commenced today. The Australians went first to the wickets, and scored 232 for the loss of eight wickets. The following are the scores :—: — M'Donnell, 55; Moses, 46; Walters, 29; Burton, 20 ; Garrett, 18 ; Jones, 17 ; Turner (not out), 17 ; M'Shane, 23. The attendance of the public was very poor. The weather was fine. Massie being unable to play, his place was filled by Walters. February 4. The cricket match between a Combined Australian team and Lillywhite's Eleven was continued here to-day. The weather was fine and the attendance good. The Australians were all disposed of for 262 runs. Lohmann was the most successful bowler, taking five wickets in the first innings. The Englishmen have lost five wickets for 218. The principal scorers were :— Ulyett, 72; Shrewsbury, 39; Read, 39; Lohmann, 17. H'Shane, the Melbourne trundler, got all the wickets. Februaiy 6. The cricket match between the Combined Australian team and Lillywhite's Eleven was continued to-day. Rain fell during the day and spoiled the wicket, especially for the Australians. The Englishmen continued their innings, and are all out for 295. Newham (53), Docker (21), Smith (17), and Brann (not out, 14) were the principal scorers. Garrett took three wickets. The Australians then went in for their second innings, and when time was called had lost seven wickets for 78 runs, Bannerman (not out for 45) being the principal scorer. February 7. 1 The match Combined Australian team against Lillywhite's Eleven was continued, and won by the Englishmen by five wickets. I The Australians' second innings closed for 83 runs, Bannerman being not out for 45. Lohman took „ seven wickets, • and Briggs three. The in their second innings scored 51 ; Shrewsbury 14, Ulyett 15. Turner took three wickets. The wicket was bad.
