(Continued from page 87.) THE BOWLING TOURNAMENT. Christchurch, February 7. Tho bowling tournament was commenced to-day, when inter-club matches were played. The following is the result of the day's play : — Ohristchdbch v. Rosltn. This match was played an the Christchoroh

green, each playing two rinks. The Christchurch Club eventually won by 64 points to 43 points. The game was one of 25 heads. Canterbury v. Caledonian. The match between the Caledonian Club and the Canterbury Club was also played in the morning on the latter club's greep, when the visitors were defeated, tho score being—Canterbury, 49 ; Caledonian, 39. Only two rinks on each side played. Dunedin v. Canterbury. The Dunedin Club met the Canterbury Club in the afternoon on the latter's green, each playing four rinks, and the game being one of 25 heads. The visitors were successful, the scores being— Dunedin, 115; Canterbury, 67; majority for Dunedin, 47. Christchurch v. Caledonians. The Christchurch and Caledonian Clubs met on the former's green in the afternoon, each playing two rinks, and the game being one of 25 heads. The visitors were again defeated, this .time by 12 points, Caledonians scoring 39 to 51 by Christchurch. '. - February 8. Interprovincial Match. ■ The interprovincial bowling match was played to-day on the Christchurch and Canterbury greens, 25 heads being played at each rink.
