Oats: Good heavy feed parcels are in fair demand at from 2s Id to 2s 3d ncr bushel; medium and dark, dull of salo at up to la ],ld ; seed, 2s 3d. Barley : Cape seed unchanged at 3s to 3s 3d. Maize : A quantity of African received during the week and is quoted at 3s 4d to 3s tJd per bushel. New South Wales lines are worth 3s 8d to 3s 9d. Bran and pollard are in better inquiry at 7}d to 8d per bushel. Chaff: In full supply. New South Wales oaten aelis at £3 to £5 per ton ; Victorian and Adelaide, 3s to ss. Potatoes : In short supply, mainly becauseoftheprevalenceofsmallpoxinTasmania. Circular Head are worth £3 to £3 5s per ton ; New Zealand, £2 to £2 6s. Butter : Abundant supplies and demand slack. Factorr made, 6d to 8d per lb ; roll 7d; best Illawarra in keg, 8d to 7d. Cheese: Loaf cheese, 4d to 8d ; ordinary colonial descriptions, 2d to 4d; New Zealand to 6d. Bacon: In moderate demand. Hand-cured Southern, 6d to 6Jd per lb colonial hams, 6d to 8d ; New Zealand bacon, Jd to 8d ; do hams, lOd to lid per lb. Melbourne, October 12.— Shipping wheat in fair demand at 3s 4d to 8s 5d per bushel. New Zealand! feed and milling oats, 2b Bd, 2s 9d, to 2s 10d per bushel ; do under bond, 2s to 2s Id. Barley -. Butter: Fresh' large supplies coming forward, and prices show a decline.
