RABBITSKIN MARKET.

Messrs Remshaedt, M'Donald, and Co. report as follows : — We have to report a purely speculative demand, there being no orders of any consequence now on. the market. There are no prime winter skins (JuneJuly) now offering ; therefore quotations for these are nominally 18d to 18d. Present supplies almoit entirely consist of spring collections, many of which (especially off low country) are exceedingly poor this year. We quote aa follows : — August greys, lOd to Is 3d ; September greys, 8d to lOd ; October do. 5d to 8d; spring blacks and fawnß, from 4d to 7d. In order to keep faith with our consignors we have hereby to request them, or any of them, not to forward their skins to us unless they are prepared to

accept the prices above mentioned. During the r*»t week we have received the following cableimimfrnrn our London agents :— " The Home and Continental supply of rabbitskins will be very much heavier than last season. The market has a downward tendency Next sales take place o<\ the. 4th November " in reply to inquiries, we give the following figures E show how the world's supplies are approximately made up, viz. :— * France > 53 millions of skins Great Britain ... ... 24 do do Australia and New Zealand 13 do <j 0 90 millions.
