RIVERSDALE.

October 17. — The weather, with the exception of during the past week, has been all that could be desired for farming operations, and as a result the season's work is well forward. Some remarkably flue winter wheat is to be seen on the farm of Mr M'Kibbin. Grass is beginning to appear in nice green swards, affording good feed for cuttle. Garden growth seems rather backward, and the cold strong winds now prevailing m&y prove disastrous to the young lambs. Sheep; however, are not very plentiful here, though the New Zealand Agricultural Oempany weekly despatch to Burnside a few hundred fat stock, which generally command the highest market price.
