Junk 22. — Ploughing and all outside work has for the present been put a stop to in consequence of the inclement weather, but fortunately the previous fine spell enabled fanners to get well ahead with thi-> work, so that the present delay will not be much fell., fciome patches of oats may be seen coming away well heiv and there, and rye- hus boon hown for tho lirst lime in this district, and -o far is looking very well.
Musical.-- For in;uiy year* past this district has been hehindhn?!'! with nny s-ort of amusements for the young people (hiring tho long winter evenings ; hut this stato of affair.-, has been remedied by Mr D. Thomas, who lias formed a singing chi^t;, and has at present no less than forty pupil.-'. Sir Thomas teacht-s by tbe tonic sol-ia syttem, aud spares no pains to impart a good knowledge of music to his, pupils.
