March 27th.

At about 3 o'clock on Sunday morning Sin Wan Oheong's stable and horses had a very narrow escape from being destroyed by fire. At the abovo hour one of the inmates of the store happened to get up and go outside. He saw the stable on lire, and he at once gave the| alarm, and Louis King and Auck Toy rushed into the stable to get tho two horses out, and Loui3 King and Auck Toy got kicked by one of the horses. King is very bad, but Auck Toy is not seriously hurt. ' It is supposed that some person unknown sot fire fco the' ytablo in a spirit of revenge. Tho horses and buildings are not much tho worse, as there was plonty of assistance at hand.
