FORTROSE.

March 27th.
A public meoSing was held in the school-room here on Saturday evening last for the purpose of electing a school committee, in aceordanco with noti o issued by the Southland Board of Education. Twelve householders were prosent. Mr J. E. Attwood waa unanimously called to tho chair, and the following persons duly elected - viz., J. E. Attwood, K. G-. M'Kenzio, W. Gregory, P. Whitoly, J. Riddle, II Chiaholin, and G. H. Attwood. A hearty vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
