Sydney, March 15th. The following are the non-acceptors for tho Sydney Cvp :— Kerotile, Hesperian, Sir Lawrenco, Harebell, Crcswick, The Exeter, Pollio, John, Etna, Templar, Bosworth, Royal Consort, Mulatto, Commotion, The Czar, Trevallyn,Darriwell, Salvador, Canary, Swiveller, Suwarrow, Pell Mell, Belladrum, Sir Peter, Ooriolanus, Santa Claus, Waterloo, Sir Joseph, Napper Tandy, Chuckster, and Martindale.

At the dinner given to him in Christchurch the other evening, Mi 1 Green answered many questions regarding the method of mountain climbing. He stated that the peculiarity of ascending Mount Cook was that they had to follow the gullies instead of following the arretes, thus increasing the danger from falling ice. In describing the night passed by them tinder the summit of Mount Cook, Mr Green said that the ledge they stood upon was not more than two feet wide and six feet long. They never moved six inches from 8_ o'clock on the night of March 2nd until sunrise on the following morning. If any one of them had slept it meant ceitain rleath for all.
