DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT.
July 14th, 1814. The market for agricultural produce remains without any special change.
Potatoes are coming in more freely from distant parts of the Province, as well as from Australia and Tasmania, but prices are well maintained.
Barley.— The stock is low, but demand is quite limited. We quote at ss. Crushed is worth 5s Gd. Bran.— Small lots bring Is 8d to Is 9d. Carrots.— £4 to £7 per ton. Chaff.— Supply equal to demand. We quote £6 to £7.
G ham.— Little or none in market. Price £10. Hay. -The market is well supplied wth hay of the best quality, chiefly from Green Island and the Taieri, which sells at £5 to £6 10s per ton. Maize.— The market w now quite bare. Small lots are worth 6s 9d to 7s.
Oats.— New crop, in large quantities, 4s U 4s 3d. Good Caliibruian, 4s to 4s 3d. Scotch, nominal. The market is now bare of Colonial.
Onions.— As it is now getting very n«ar the end of the season, it is iljfficult to get a sound parcel, and any noiv arriving require to he carefully picked before they are iit to send to the country. Price £18 per ton as landed, or £22 to £24 per ton selected.
Potatoes still realise from £9 to £10 per ton. Prices at present would be lu'gher, were it not for the quantities which have been offered from the Molynoux District during the week. Turnips.— £4 to £6 per ton. Wheat.— So few'transactions are taking place, that, it is difficult to quote a price.
