Winton A. and P. Association.
The Sixth Annual Show of the Association will be held on the Show Grounds on Wednesday, 22nd inst. The schedule btistles with handsome cups, trophies, and ! liberal prize money, and various sections j are especially well catered for. Schedules j arc obtainable from the secretary, Mr. J. A. * Broom. This year's fixture does not clash with any ether show, and it is anticipated j that entries wiil come from far and near. I Nothing tends to improve the breed of j stock more than a show, and it behoves j breeders to take full advantage of the summer fixture so that the critical eye of both judg. and public can be cast upon the exhibit. J In past northern shows enthusiasts have ', journeyed south and have been so well pleased with quality of the stock that many important sales took place. This year should be nc exception to tho rule m this respect. The Winton Show has been noted for tho fine displ.y of dairy produce and baking, and it may be safely piedicted that these classes this year will excel previous exhibitions. Entries close on I Thursday, the 16th inst. The directorace I has arranged for a passenger train from i Invercargill on Show Day, leaving the |city.-at 12.15 p.m. A day's outing m I the country' is always largely availed of.
