Sunday school Picnic.

The annual picnic of the Otautau Presbyterian Sunday School took place on Friday between Xmas and New Year m a paddock kindly placed at the disposal of the school hy Mr William Buick, Yellow Bluff, and overlooking the township. The children were conveyed m expresses by Messrs Hamilton aud Renowden. Mr Buick not only provided the paddock for the picnic, but undertook the supply of hot water for the tea, thus saving the teachers a lot of work. A liberal supply of prizes had been provided by friends and races and j umping filled m a line day's sport for the pupils. The weather was ideal, and the picnic of Xmas 1911 will rank amongst the most successful m the history of the Sunday School. Hearty cheers were given for Mr Buick, Rev. j A. Macdonald, and all who contributed i to the success of the gathering.
