For the benefit of members of the above Company who have not received the following notice, and and also for perusal by all young men between 14 and 21 years of age, we publish the following from the Officer Commanding :— . " The process of registration of all ! youths between the ages of 14 and 21 years is now being carried out by the j Defence Department, and until such time as that part of the new system has been completed, it is impossible to aay how many of the old members of this Squadron can be kept on the itrength. Xt ia not necessary for pre-
j ent members who are between the ages mentioned to r^giaterj ' as upon the completion of a feiurn now being compiled by me, they will be automatically posted to th& Regiment, and j wherever possible to this Squadron. ' During the next few days, Lieut Gairdner, who succeeds me m command of the S quadroon, and I will , visit the outlying districts where the Squadron has members, and we will probably be accompanied by a staff officer, who will exDlaiu the changes now being made, and the requirements of the soldier of the future. I particularly wish members to make every effort to be present at the nearest place to those mentioned below, and to invite any young men whom you know are interested m the movement to also be present. So that no more inconvenience will be caused you than possible, do not bother to waste any time m putting on your uniform. Come along straight from your work m your working clothes ao that you can go straight back to your wnrk at._-iu.
