VEHICLES COLLIDE

PASSENGERS INJURED OPUNAKE RESIDENTS Mrs. T. N. Watt and her daughter Miss N. Watt, we I*s slightly injured when the car in which they were passengers collided with a motor van at the intersection of the StratfordOpuuake highway and _ the Manga where Road, near Riverlea at about 5.30 p.m. last Frihiy. Miss Watt received a scalp wound, and Mrs- Watt suffered from shock. Roth were admitted to the Stratford hospital- Miss Watt was returned home newt day and Mrs. Watt on .Wednesday. The driver of the car, Mr. keith S. Watt, and an elderly woman passenger, Mrs. Norcross, Wellington, were unhurt. The driver of the truck, Mr. Cedric -T. Gardener, Kaponga, also escaped unhurt, but both vehicles were fairly badly damaged.
