Referring to Mr. J. S. Hickey’s resignation as an official and as the club’s delegate to the Taranaki Rugby Union, Mr. T. Moron, in moving that he be made a life-member of the club, spoke of his great service io rugby in Taranaki and the district over 20 years. Mr. E. J. Wallis, president, in supporting the motion said that Mr- Hickey, as a player, committeeman, selector, coach; and as a union official and the past chairman of the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union had proved himself to be one of the most outstanding rugby personalities in Taranaki for many years. The motion was carried unanimously.
