OPENING DAY CANADIAN FOURSOME The official opening day of the Opunake Golf Club will be held next Sunday afternoon. A Canadian Foursome played over 9 boles will commence at 1.30 p.m. and a, cordial invitation is extended to visitor's and friends. The links should be in good order for the opening and as most members have , already played over the links for some weeks past a good standard of golf is anticipated. Manaia Easter Tournameriit B. Peat performed well in the Manaia Faster tournament to reach the semi-finals of the Waiokura Handicap, hut was beaten by Josephson. 5 and 4, Josephson eventually winning the final against Newman, 2 and 1.
