OPUNAKE CRICKET

SEASON’S AVERAGES DORMER’S GOOD FIGURES The averages for all games played during the season are listed below. W. Dormer topped the batting with an average of 29.8 runs per innings and also claimed 75 wickets at a cost of 7.4 runs per wicket, a fine allround performance. R. Roach headed the howling v?ith 34 wickets for an average of 4.5 runs per wicket, Sorenson took the highest number of wickets with 88 at a cost of 9.1, a very consistent effort. Tito also bowled well to secure 50 wickets during the season. J. Snell was another consistent all-rounder, who returned a batting average of 16.6 and bowling figures of 26 wickets for 10.2. He also 'took 13 catches in competition matches. The figures are: Ratting over 5 runs average; Rowling 10 wickets and over; Catches and Stampings (competition only) 6 and over.
