CUCUMBER STAKES CLOSING DAY Good entries have been reeeivfor the open “Cucumber Stakes” •one-day tournament which is to 'be played at the Opunake Green Tomorrow, commencing at 9 a.m. On Sunday an afternoon tournament (commencing at 1.30 p.m.) will be played for honey donated by Mr. C. Leatherbarrow. The official closing of the Club will be held in conjunction with this fixture and a full attendance of members is urged. ■s Opunake Rink Eliminated * C. Leatherbarrow’s rink was eliminated in the first round of the post section play at Hawera on Tuesday, being defeated’ by Yeitch (Hawera) 23-13. "
