(From a Correspondent). The entertainment given in the Public Hall on Friday was a complete success. Tho hall was packed. The following concert programme was given:- -Pianoforte Duet, Mrs Pope and Miss Dobson; song, " Vanity," Mr Carmichael (encored); Instrumental Quartette, " Valley of Ferns," Ist violins, Misses Cannell, 2nd violins, Miss F. Brennan and Mr Markham, cornet, Mr Webb, piano, Miss Dobson ; song, ' The Silent Highway," Miss Weyergang; song, "Kissing Papa through the Telephone," Miss Nola Simeon (encored)'; song, "Three old Maids of Lee, : ' Misses Rutherford (encored); recitation, «' The Fireman's Wedding," Mr Beck way; song, "In the Sweet Bygone Times," Mrs Harrison ; song, " Mrs 'Enery 'Awkins, Mr Carmichael (encored) ; song, Mrs Harrison; song and chorus, " Old Woman," Mrs Pope and six children; duet, " The Torpedo and the Whale," Miss Simeon and Mr Carmichael; instrumental quartette, " Land and Water," Ist violins, Misse3 Cannell, 2ud violin, Mr Markham, cornet, Mr Webb, piano, Miss Dobson. The entertainment concluded with the comedietta " The Sleeping Beauty," tho characters being the same as at Opuuake with tho exception of the substitution of Miss Feaver for Miss Newsham as the spiteful fairy. The piece was received with great spirit and was well received.
