Thtjbsday, November 19th 1896. (Before H. W. Brabant, Esq., S.M., and Mr G. W. Gane, J.P.) Ihaia and Taikomaka were'summoned to appear to answer a charge of forcible entry bf land, the property of Mauriri and others, situated at Ouri, near Pihama. Mr Atkinson for complainants, Mr Bennett for defendants. Neither of the defendants appeared, and Mr Atkinson applied for warrants for their arrest, it being stated that they had gone to Parihaka. The case was adjourned till afternoon, when tbe information was withdrawn, the Public Trustee having promised to grant a proper license to occupy to the complainants. Morey v. Fowler, failing to comply with a maintenance order, Sentenced to one months imprisonment with hard labor. Order to be suspended for 14 days to allow defendant to pay arrears.
