ACCEPTANCES close on SATUEDAY, 19th December, 1896, at 8 p.m. Rules and .Regulations. 1. Definition of a HACK.—A Hack is a horse that has not won an advertised race (Hack, Hunter, and. Pony excepted), and is not at time of start, and has not been, during the six calendar months previous to the time of starting, nominated for any race (Hack, Hunter, and Pony Baces excepted). 2. All nominations must include description, age, pedigree, and performances of the horse, colors of rider, and name of owner. 3. All nominations and acceptances to be accompanied by the necessary amount of cash, and must be in the hands of the Secretary, at Knowles' Hotel, Opunake, not later than the time notified on the advertised dates of closing. 4. All races to be run under the Bules of Bacing as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. < 5. No entry or nomination will be received for any race except on these conditions : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those ,whom they may appoint ; their decision upon all points shall be final. HPO Stand this •*■ Season. The Heavy Draught Entire Glen Will run with a few mares on Trig Farm, Waiteika Road. Glen is a fine upstanding horse, possessed of immense bone and muscle, and is by Glengyle, whof.;e fame in the show ring is too well known to need remark, out of an imported mare.
