"W e regret to record an accident which happened- to the child of Mr John KnoLwles of, the Terrace, West Oxford. Percy Knowles aged 6 was flaying about m charge of his sister whilst the Father was engaged at a short distance. Suddenly the daughter appproached the Father, carrying the child, and it immediate ly. occured to the father that something was wroog, and on- examination it was found after consulting with Dr. Volckinan that the child's arm was broken m two places. How the accident occurred is not quite plain, but the possibility is that the child slipped on a siding when the arm presented just such a position to the ground as cause fractures,
