A SUGGESTION.

(To the Eijitor.)

Sir, —So many hard things have been said about Mr Jackson Palmer and the manner in .which he has been "foisted on the .electorate," that it seems a pity that he has not come here to defend.himself, if he can, and to explain his action in the matter. It is not yet too late, and I sincerely hope Mr Palmer will endeavour to again meet the electors in Paeroa be? fore Wednesday next. If he does not, of course the electors can form their own opinion, and It is hardly likely to be favourable to Mr Palmer.—l am, etc., Impartial.
