WORK OF VANDALS

Flowers Rooted Out KENSINGTON SCHOOL Flower plots in the Kensington School grounds suffered at the hands of vandals in the early hours of Thursday morning. Beds of roses and geraniums were pulled out by the roots. Irises given to the school by a Berwick resident two years ago, which were just about to flower for the first time, met an equally cruel fate They were cut level with the ground. It is thought that those responsible for the vandalism were youths. Residents of Grosvenor and Bridgman streets have told the school authorities fhat they heard a commotion near the school grounds at 2 o’clock on .Thursday morning. The police are investigating.
