PERSONAL
The acting city engineer, Mr G. K. mstrong, left for Wellington yesterday. He will return to Dunedin at the week-end. _ The town clerk, Mr R. A. Johnston, who will have his last day at his desk in the Municipal Chambers today before his official retirement tomorrow, will be the guest of the staff of the Town Hall at a dinner tonight. He and Mrs Johnston will be the guests of honour at a dance to follow.
