Annual Bible Class Competitions SINGING PRAISED The North-East Valley Bible Class Is leading with 20i points in the annual choral and dramatic competitions being conducted at the Concert Chamber by the Otago District Committee of Presbyterian Bible classes. Musselburgh, with 19 points, is second, and Kaikorai is third with 181 points. South Dunedin has 18 points, and Momington, Ravensboume, and Roslyn are equal with 17 points. Mrs J. T. Leech, judge of the singing sections, was Impressed with the singing in the women’s classes, and commented that Joan Ferguson should continue her studies. Results were:— Junior Women’s Vocal Solo.—Joan Ferguson (Ravensboume), 82, 1; Valerie Ranger (South Dunedin), 81, 2; D. Palmer (South Dunedin), 80, 3. VHC: Mary Scott (Gladstone) and Marjorie Smith (Anderson’s Bay). HQ: Rowena Vivian, Olwyn Jones, and Patricia Brown. Junior Women’s Scipture Reading (finals).—Annette McEwen (Kaikorai), 80. 1; Aileen Kinaston (Maori Hill), 79, 2; Yyonne Welsh (Gladstone), 76, 3.
