OAMARU MOTOR CAMP

Erection Of New Building Commenced It was reported by Mr J. Gerrie, chairman of the Camp Committee, at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Automobile Association, that the contractor had commenced work on the new camp building. He said that a guarantee that the work would be completed by mid-December had been given. The contract price of £1591, which did not include the installation of plumbing, was accepted. Mr W. M. Richardson was in the chair, and there were also present Messrs J. Rodman, G. Reid, M. Mirfin, H. J. Jenkins, D. K. Giffin, I. Armour, T. I. McGregor, A. C. Taylor, J. Gerrie, P. Shave, E. S. Guthrie, H. Hay and J. C. Kirkness.

The Main Highways Board forwarded a subsidy of £45 toward the cost of the signposting work which had been undertaken by the association. Twenty-two new members were elected.
