Times Miniature Rifle Shield

The North Otago Miniature Rifle Association’s North Otago Times Shield competition was won by Papakaio C, with 2475 points, followed by Railway Ladies 2474. Railway A 2472 and Oamaru A 2471. The teams’ Off-the-rifle event went to Railway A with 2439 points, with Weston A (2419) in second place and Totara A (2404) in third position. The individual Off-the-rifle was won by C. Rennie (Railway A) with 496 points, followed by A. Kilworth (Weston) 491 -L. Brunton (Awamoko A) 490, and A. D. Gibson (Mahrno) 489. The individual Handicap event went to D. Paul (Oamaru) with 498 points, with L. Palmer (Papakaio), C. Hurst (Papakaio). L. Brunton (Awamoko A) and A. Kilworth (Weston) in second place equal with 497 points. Totara Ladies A. with 2368 points, won the women’s team Off-the-rifle, while Railway Ladies was placed second with 2321 points. Mrs Waby (Oamaru), with 471 points, won the women’s individual Off-the-rifle, while Miss Forrester (Oamaru), Miss Campbell (Weston) and Miss Cummings (Weston) were placed second equal with 467 points. The women’s individual Handicap went to Miss Cummings (Weston) with 494 points, with Miss Forrester (Oamaru) in second place with 492 points and Miss Campbell (Weston) third with 491 points.
