CAGE BIRD SHOW

Dunedin Specialist Club The Dunedin Cage Bird Specialist Club held its annual young bird show in the YMCA on Saturday, there being a good representative entry of 90 birds. The judges were: Yorkshire canaries, Mr W. J. Jarvis: Norwich and Border canaries Mr H. Williams; Red Factor canaries, Mr W. J. Herbert: budgerigars, Mr W. McCutcheon; British, Mr C. Bell. The principal winners were:—Yorkshire: L. H. Tudor, best bird and best buff; W. and I. McCutcheon, best yellow; W. Nilson, best novice. Norwich: W. J. Herbert, best bird and best buff; H; Hemsley, best yellow; J. Kenyon, best novice. Borders: W. and I. McCutcheon, best bird: W. Fraser, best novice. Red Factor canaries: W. Hilliker, best bird. Budgerigars: C. C. Benzoni, best bird best cock and best opposite sex; K. Adie (a junior member), best novice and best cock; R. Penman, best opposite sex. Mule and hybrid section: J. H. D. Miller, best bird.
