P. AND T. WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Annual Meeting Of Members Mrs Bird was in the chair at the annual meeting of the Post and Telegraph Women’s League. The following officers were elected:—Patroness, Mrs S. G. Hefferman; president., Mrs G. A. Bird; senior vice-president, Mrs L. T. Barnett: junior vice-president, Miss M. Oliver; secretary, Mrs W. L. Woodard: treasurer, Mrs H. Halstead; parcels secretary, Mrs L. H. Howell; pianist, Mrs McKenzie; representative on the National Council of Women, Mrs H. C. Light wood; committee—Mesdames Inglis, Halvorsen, Wakelin, and Baggott. The meetings were fixed for the third Thursday in each month, and the annual subscription at 2s 6d. Sprays were presented to Mesdames Bird and Woodard, and birthday sprays to Mesdames Halvorsen and Halstead. The flower competition resulted: —Mrs Halvorsen 1, Mesdames Inglis, Pierce and Wakelin (equal) 2. The hostesses were Mesdames McKenzie and Pierce.
