NO CHRIST CHILD IN SOVIET ZONE
NZPA—Reuter—Copyright BERLIN, Dec. 7.
Socialist schoolteachers in Saxony in the Soviet zone have decided to ban “all religious sentimentality” in the schools this year and to treat Christmas as a “ popular festival of Spring." Only carols which make no reference to the Christ child will be sung. The teachers adopted a resolution that the “Christ child was officially abolished in Nazi days and should remain so now.”
