NOVEL DISPLAY

JUNIOR RED GROSS ARTICLES FROM MANY COUNTRIES Samples of the work of members of the Junior Red Cross of almost 25 countries are on display at the workroom of the movement in Dunedin. A feature of the display, which, was opened by the honorary organiser of the Otago branch yesterday, was an embroidered and framed picture of a ship. It is the work of a Siamese girl. The display, the Vyork of children between the ages of 13 and 18 years, includes needlework and quaint woodwork from 'the Philippines, a Bantu doll made in South-west Africa, and articles from all over the East and Europe. The articles are part pf a world display which was shown in Hamilton and proved so popular that it was divided and sent to the main centres of the Dominion for a wider exhibition. The, display will be open in the city until Friday.
