COACHING SCHEME
ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL OVERSEAS METHODS J. Glen, the official coach and trainer of the Otago Association football team, will teach the latest overseas coaching methods to two members of each club as part of a coaching scheme which will begin soon. This was announced at a meeting of the Otago Football Association last night. The use of the gymnasium attached to the School of Physical Education at the University of Otago would be obtained for the scheme. Several English coaching films covering all aspects of the game had also been obtained, and screenings for Association football players would be given during the week. Advice was received that Mr F. D. King had been appointed a referee for the New Zealand Football Association tournament (English Trophy), which will be held at Christchurch on June 4 and 6. Teams from Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago will take part. Transfers granted were:—G. Aughton, Northern to ORSC; W. Scott, Tramways to Technical Old Boys; D. McCaw, Caversham to Green Island. . DRAW FOR SATURDAY
