TRIBUTE TO FARMERS

VISITING AUSTRALIAN

PA WELLINGTON. Mar. 27; “ I am still wondering how you carry so many sheep to the acre and so many catttle,” said Mr E. Day, leader of a party of farmers from South Australia who were entertained at morning tea at Parliament Buildings. ‘‘After being here for about three weeks, I have come to the conclusion that it is a combination of climate, rainfall, and good farming—and I would emphasise the last." said Mr Day. Mr Day and other speakers, including the Prime Minister. Mr Fraser, stressed the value of an interchange of ideas between the farmers of Australia and New Zealand.
