All the bowling clubs in North Otago, town and country, have opened the season in promising circumstances. A great deal of work has been accomplished by members at Awamoa during the offseason. in an endeavour to improve the playing surface of this green, and reports state that the cotula weed brought up from Pahia, Southland, is now well established in the green, and should provide a splendid playing surface.
