BASKETBALL NOTES

The Nurses’ team was victorious in a Yankee tournament held by the Oainaru Easkelball Club in the Drill Hall on Monday night. Twelve women's teams and three men’s teams competed, and there was a large crowd of spectators. Owing to the shortage of time and the fact that there was only one court, the games were played in four sections. Section were: The Dee’s. Nurses, and Excelsior B. In the section play-offs the games were played from scratch, semi-final winners being Excelsior A and Nurses.
