The Rev. J. Fordyce, who has been Minister at Enfield for the last nine and a-half years, accepted a call to the Presbyterian Church at Halkett, at a meeting of the Presbytery yesterday afternoon. The moderator, the Rev. A. Marshall, congratulated Mr Fordyce on his call and wished him well in his new parish. Mr Russell and Mr Black, commissioners from the Enfield congregation spoke highly of the work done by Mr Fordyce during his stay witli the parish at Enfield. They said that it would be Halkett’s gain and their loss, but they did not wish to place any obstacle in his way and wished him all success in his new charge.
