DECISIONS OF AUTHORITY

The Dunedin Metropolitan Licensing Authority has given its decisions on some of the applications for the renewal of taxi-cab service licences heard by the authority on May 10. The applications of the owner-drivers have been granted, subject to certain conditions governing the operation of the vehicles through taxi-cab organisations. The applications for the use of low-horsepower cars were, granted, subject to conditions as to the type of vehicles, and subject also to the smaller vehicles being used in conjunction with larger cars. The decisions of the authority have not yet been given in the applications lodged by the companies.
