VON NIDA SUCCESSFUL

DAILY MAIL GOLF TOURNAMENT LONDON, May 14.

The Australian,. Norman von Nida, with a record aggregate for the tournament of 270, won the Daily Mail £2500 golf tournament at Sunningdale. The veteran English professional, R. A. Whitcombe, had a two stroke lead at the end of the third round, but his age and the heat found him out in the final round, in which he took 74. The Bristol professional, T. B. Haliburton, who partnered von Nida, established a course record of 65 in the third round. He was seven under 4’s at the sixteenth.

Leading scores (last two rounds and aggregate): Von Nida, 66 —68—270; Whitcombe, 67—74—275; Rees, 70—71 —278; Daly, 69—69—279.
