NECHI DREDGING
FOREIGN EXCHANGE SHORTAGE 'ln a circular to shareholders, Nechi Consolidated Dredging, Limited, advises that the greatly increased cost of equipment has upset seriously estimates made early in 1946. The construction programme has therefore been limited. Funds in hand are in the form of Canadian dollars and are subject to new foreign exchange restrictions. The company is now faced with the problem of obtaining funds for United States dollar and Colombian peso commitments. Placer Development, Limited, the company’s largest shareholder, is helping to meet this shortage of foreign exchange.
