PENINSULA HORTICULTURAL SHOW

The decorative section was outstanding at the Peninsula Horticultural Society’s show held at Macandrew Bay on Saturday. Another feature was a display of Japanese chrysanthemums grown by Mr C. Preen. Prize-winners in the decorative section were Mrs Fox, Mrs Parkinson. Mrs Finlay, Mrs Bradshaw. Miss Noelene Sturmer, Mrs H. Mitchell, Mrs H. O’Kane, Miss S. Glendining. Mrs R. S. Glendining, Mrs J. G. Thomson, and Mr Erridge. Other results were:—Chrysanthemums: Premier blooms, Mr N. Coutts; premier Japanese blooms, Mr W. Turner; premier decorative, Mr M. Grey; single, Mrs A. Lee’s “M. J. Irvine ”: anemone, centred, Mr L. Hellyer’s “Ethyl Anderson.” Awards In the vegetable section were made to Messrs* A. Dow, Parker, and Kinard, and Misses J. Fraser and M. C. Ross.
