ILL-MANNERED CHILDREN
Sir, —Why should elderly people be subjected to such unpleasant’ behaviour on the part of the children of to-day, who have so much done for them? Visiting a friend on Tuesday afternoon, I was surprised to be ■ mobbed by a group at the corner of Bedford and Norfolk streets, St. Clair. There was evidently a clown whose guying antics behind mv back evoked delighted giggles and applause. As I did not turn round, he was emboldened to pluck at my coat and pursued me along the drive until I almost reached the door. Remarking on this experience, I veas told by another St. Clair resident that when she ventured, to sit. on the seat at the terminus children delightedly banged on the back of it and harassed her by impertinent remarks.—l am. etc.. Elderly.
