Several of the horses engaged in the Pareora Steeples at Washdyke lack experience, and as the fences are not what might be termed difficult Lisheen should be one of the hardest to beat. Logical Favourite The Salmagundi three-year-old Great Victory has built up a record of two wins, a second, and a third in five starts this season and he looks the logical favourite for the Claremont Handicap at Washdyke. Although Detract has won only one race this season >he has on several occasions given the impression that he will develop into a high-class galloper. A three-year-old by Defaulter from Trapeze, he looks a possibility for a place at least in the Kingsdown Handicap at Washdyke tomorrow. A Fit Horse
Detain looks a fit horse and in his preliminary education as a hurdler he has shown that with a bit more experience he will be more than useful at the .^ r^P + ing game.
