LABOUR PARTY
ANNUAL MEETING OF KAIKORAI ' BRANCH At the annual meeting of the Kaikorai branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, held on Wednesday evening, Mr A. Reid presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report showed that the past year had been one of considerable activity and progress, and the prospects for the future development of the branch appeared very promising. The Social Committee had Ween particularly active during the year, and the success of its achievements was clearly reflected in the sound financial position, of the branch. The election of officers resulted:—Presi-, dent. Mr C. O’Brien; vice-president, Mr P. Beaumont; secretary, Mr C. Scarf; treasurer, Mr W. St. Clair; executive—Mrs P. Beaumont, Miss A .Miller, Messrs E. . Sincock, A. McClenaghan and C. Engle- * field; delegates to 0.L.R.C., Messrs Sincock and Scarf; delegates to the Central Campaign Committee, Mrs P. Beaumont , and Miss A, Miller. , Mr P. G. Connolly, M.P., was welcomed to the meeting, and in. the course of an , informative address he outlined the parliamentary superannuation scheme and several other matters dealt with in recent legislation..
