PALESTINE PARTITION

ARAB OPPOSITION TO PLAN COMMISSION ACKNOWLEDGES DANGER N.Z.P.A.—Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. NEW YOBK, Feb. 9. The Palestine Commission decided o-day to inform the Security Council that there is an Arab attempt to alter by force the United Nations partition plan, and to ask the Council to determine that a “ threat to peace ” exists, and to take action quickly under Article 39 of the Charter. The commission’s report, which is couched in far stronger terms than was expected, strongly emphasises the need for an international force if the partition plan is to be implemented.
